Anand Rajesh graduated from Brown University in 2017 with a degree in Neuroscience and a passion for listening to stories and experiences. He is drawn to the medical humanities because it is where contradiction, duality and expression exist in the otherwise rigid, binary and logical space of medicine. He enjoys writing, reading and experiencing in his free time.
Kevin Pu is a first-year medical student at UW. Since discovering the interdisciplinary Science in Human Culture program at Northwestern University as an undergraduate student, he has been curious about how evolving historical identities impact health care outcomes, particularly for patients with serious illness. Through the past few years, a multitude of mentors and learning experiences have brought him to pursue pediatric oncology, where the resilience of pediatric patients and their families will continue to motivate him for years to come.
